ELK works to change the lives of culturally diverse, at-risk Colorado youth through science and outdoor education. Our programs incorporate mentoring, leadership, community service and career development. 98% of ELK youth graduate high school!
Low-income, at-risk urban youth in Colorado do not have the same opportunities to experience the outdoors and learn about nature. Only 60% of them will even graduate high school. Our youth deserve to be inspired by nature, have the tools they need to succeed in life, and follow their chosen career paths. We need our youth to become the future environmental leaders of tomorrow to protect the planet and its people.
ELK is changing the future by connecting our two most precious resources: our children and our environment. We inspire kids through nature, introduce them to science, leadership, and careers, and invest in their success.
